Children of the 90s

28 Mar

Our Crayola Cloud billows toward ceiling,

stained Thanksgiving turkey stencils grasping to keep it earth-bound.

Silence explodes as

fifty bubblegum balls plead with God

to lift the magic mockingbird to His lips………..

Flood of laughter, shrieking, and winged foot-beds squeaking as we

scurry inside our Crayola Cloud and

yank it back to waxed wood security.

Twenty-five doughy pretzels point to the

center of our domed universe.

Fifty bubblegum balls turn once again to God.

God’s grin does all the talking; His disciples have done it again.

Thanks for your visit. I’m a misfit of the 1960’s myself.
I really like how the last line shows delight and happiness.
Now if we could all just be nice to each other…

Thanks for your response! Glad the delight was conveyed — “parachute day” in gym class was definitely a childhood favorite.
